We do this daily until the cat/kitten is regular again.
HOMEMADE CHICKEN GRAVY for MC cats
Watch the following video and look what we at Kathy's Kattery were up to on the last day of October 2024! Our cats are spoiled with fresh, ground chicken, bones, skin, hearts & livers that is thoroughly COOKED and made into a gravy and fed to our cats and kittens. Sometimes fed raw in some situations. We add other ingredients after the base is cooked (ground chicken, quick oats, & Redman salt with garlic). Since 10-2025 we have slowly been transitioning the cats & kittens to the raw diet.
We still feed the cooked gravy and they have dry kibble 24/7.
The raw has helped the overall health of the felines in our cattery. (Caution, freeze the raw for 5 or more days before feeding, plus be cautious and watch closely the Moms with kittens that are eating the raw. They can get salmonella, and would need treated right away.) The recipe is posted on my FAQ page under "What to feed." Mix what you feel.
