CAN WE COME VISIT THE KITTENS?
Yes! We love to have visitors to our cattery! Please contact us to schedule an appointment. We only have VISITORS BY APPOINTMENT. I feel it is best to come and see which kitten bonds best with you. They all have different personalities. If this is not possible, and you are unable to visit us I recommend a video call to see how the kittens interact.
DO YOU HAVE A HEALTH GUARANTEE?
Yes! Our kittens are guaranteed to be in good health. We promote from birth to when the kitten leaves our cattery optimal conditions for healthy cats. After the kitten leaves our cattery we are not in control of environmental conditions that can affect your cats health. So, we are not able to cover any vet costs that are not associated with our care. If a kitten would end up having a vet certified genetic diagnosis within the first year of its life we are happy to provide a replacement kitten. Please if there is any issue with your kitten contact us and we are happy to assist you!
ARE THEY UP TO DATE ON VACCINATIONS AND DEWORMING?
NEW UPDATE! As of 11-15-24 we will NO longer be giving vaccines to kittens before the age of 16 weeks. With much research and talking with other breeders who have lost perfectly healthy kittens after administering the vaccine shot. This reaction shows up within 24 hours. This is a result from 2 very healthy kittens dying from a vaccine and 1 going paralyzed after the first vaccine shot in my cattery, plus less severe sickness brought on by the shot. If you chose to vaccinate your feline after he/she is in your care, I AM NOT responsible if any ill side effects happen to the kitten. The kittens are also dewormed regularly from 2-3 weeks old until they join their new family. Kittens will come with paperwork with history of vaccinations if given and deworming schedule. Please note that deworming needs to be continued throughout the kitten/cats life.
WHAT MORE DO I NEED TO DO FOR MY KITTEN TO MAINTAIN PROPER HEALTHCARE?
Contact a veterinary and they will get you on target. Parasite control and some vaccinations need to be continued throughout life to maintain a healthy happy kitten. ( DON'T OVER VACCINATE your kitten/cat. ) This builds up in their body and causes harm and a shorter life span. Also, flea prevention is very important if needed. I recommend going more natural when possible. (Bathe in blue Dawn, pick off fleas, use Capaction or Capstar pills.
WHAT DO YOU FEED?
We feed a variety! They have a choice from dry kibble (Nutri Source Cat & Kitten), Earthborn Primitive Feline, raw chicken necks, hearts, livers and cooked chicken or beef gravy. How to make the gravy : Chicken leg quarters boiled with quick oats to make a gravy, then pick the meat off the bones and discard the bones) (Use meat with skin and bones for a better nutritional value) Then I use an emulsion blender to puree the gravy. The gravy can be fed as a treat, or daily for cats needing extra calories. I found it is a good way to add supplements and most cats love it. We try to stay away from any feed containing CORN, WHEAT and SOY. Read your labels! Even the most expensive food hides ingredients. (All natural doesn't mean good for your Feline friend) (I have a commercial grinder, so I grind bones and all. then cook like above) I also add canned pumpkin puree to the gravy.
DO THEY USE THE LITTER BOX?
Yes! All kittens are started on litter training and familiar. This starts between 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 weeks old. When they start eating food other than mothers milk. It is best to contain your kitten in a smaller area during its transition so it becomes familiar with its new environment (Food, water & Litter box). Once that is established the kitten should be fine in a larger area. We use unscented litter. We buy clump and scoop litter. There are many good brands, Sam's Club, Walmart brand, Tidy cat etc... We do not recommend scented litter. It is good to clean it one to two times a day depending on the amount of cats using it. Usually you need 1 extra litter box per cat...Example 1 cat - 2 boxes, 2 cats -3 boxes. I like to use restaurant x-large busing pans. These are cheaper and stronger than any other litter boxes I have found. I buy them on Amazon. (If you choose to have a fancy litter box or one with a flap, remember the kitten/cat is not use to this, and you will have to show them how to use them. open the flap or take it off until you are for sure they know how to use it.)
DO YOU SHIP?
We are able to ship world wide. but prefer our country. Our options are ground transport, pet nanny (kitten flies with nanny in passenger section of the plane), and cargo. Approximate costs for each:
Cargo $575
Pet nanny - $700-$1,250
Ground- $1 a mile one way plus tolls (Sometimes the ground shipping can be cheaper when the couriers have a weekly route up north and down south.) this is when they carry numerous pets. Each pet will have it's on crate suitable for it's size. Usually $250 to $300 can get your kitten delivered via van if you are within a few states from us in Ohio.
All vet costs associated with shipping are at buyers expense. This is required with cargo and pet nanny. Estimated additional vet cost for the check up and paperwork is $80-$100.
WHEN DO I MAKE FINAL PAYMENT FOR MY KITTEN?
Kittens are to be paid in full at pick or before they ship. If a deposit has been paid earlier, that amount is deducted from the total price.
WHAT AGE CAN I GET MY KITTEN?
Kittens leave our cattery typically between 10-16 weeks. Maine Coons around 13 to 16 weeks. Kittens that ship via plane must be at least 12 weeks old.
I post lots of kitten videos on my social media. If the kittens aren't posted for sale on my AVAILABLE KITTEN PAGE, THAT MEANS I HAVEN'T PRICED THEM AND THEY ARE STILL UNDER OBSERVATION TO SEE THE COLOR AND SIZE DEVELOPEMENT. PLUS I MAY BE DECIDING IF I WILL KEEP ONE IN THE CATTERY TO USE AS A KING OR QUEEN. PATIENCE IS REQUIRED FOR THIS DEVELOPEMENT. SOMETIMES I'M JUST BUSY TOO! LOL
WILL MY KITTEN BE REGISTERED?
We have several pure bred kittens that qualify for registration. Maine Coons and Selkirk Rex pure breeds will be CFA registered. We also have breeding rights that come with our kittens.
ANOTHER FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION
I only want the kitten-cat as a pet is there a price difference? No there is no price difference. It cost me the same to raise the kitten. So it doesn't make sense to discount and cut the cost on my end just because someone just wants a pet. I sell my kittens-cats the old fashion way, intact and since you bought it you can spay or neuter if you choose, or keep him or her intact. I don't rent you a cat! LOL These are wonderful felines and will bring much joy into your household and family!
